Oakley Pharmacy Offers NEW Covid-19 Travel Certificates & Rapid Swab Antibody Testing

Continuing to support our local community has never been more important as the Coronavirus remains an ongoing threat to the UK population.

Whilst we are hoping, by the time of publication, to be participating in the mass vaccination programme due to roll out across the country, already we are delighted to be able to provide the new Covid-19 Travel Certification required by many countries as part of the ‘fit to fly’ pre-travel checks.

Covid-19 Travel Certification

Make sure you are ‘fit to fly’ or travel outside the UK by booking an appointment for your simple nasal swab test, performed by our qualified and fully trained Pharmacist, who will then be able to provide you with your accurate results plus a travel certificate ready for your journey the same day.

You will need to bring your passport and travel details with you to your appointment for the certificate to be completed.

To avoid any contamination in the test results we ask that you do not eat, drink, smoke, chew gum or brush your teeth for one hour prior to testing.

We are also able to offer Covid PCR testing to patients wishing peace of mind prior to visiting family and friends once we are out of lockdown.

We do ask anyone experiencing symptoms of Covid NOT to visit the pharmacy for a test but to contact NHS 111 for a free Covid PCR test; it is important to keep our pharmacy team safe for their families and to be able to continue offering our vital services to the community.

Covid-19 Antibody Testing

For those who wish to be tested to find out if they have previously contracted Coronavirus, we offer a private antibody test with results available the same day; results will be communicated via telephone or verbally for those wishing to wait. Call us or pop in to find out more.

Flu Vaccination

We still have a limited stock of the seasonal flu vaccinations for any patients yet to receive their 2020-2021 vaccine. Free NHS vaccine appointments are available for all patients aged 50+ years.
